Elements of graphic design?

Line

The line can be described as a single point that continues for a distance. The line is the simplest element in design but if you use it in the right way, the design gets more points.

Shape

Shape can be described as set of points and lines such as Circle, cube, etc. Spapes can be used to decorate. Shapes are mostly used to add interest to a piece of desige, they can be symbolic and can be used to create patterns and textures. There are two types of shapes: geometric and organic.

Color

Color is the one of the underrated elements of design that matter a lot. Color are very useful for getting attentions. Color must be a in a color scheme there is lot is formula for genrating color schemes.

Typography

Typography design is the art and technique of arranging type. It’s at the center of a designer’s skill set and is about much more than simply making the words legible. The typeface you choose and how it works with your layout, grid, color scheme, and so on will make the difference between a good, bad, and great design.

Texture

When used in graphic design, texture refers to the sense of feeling, touching, and actualization. The texture is a characteristic component of graphic design that uplifts the presence of other visual elements like patterns, colors, illustrations, content, and more.

Size

Size can be described as how big or small a element is in relation to other elementoes within design. Generally, we use size to make a particular element stand out or to give it importance. However, size becomes a much more powerful design element when it is considered alongside scale.

Space

Space more likely to say white spaces, is just gap between elements within design.

Many beginning designers feel the need to pack every pixel with some type of “design” and overlook the value of white space. But white space serves many important purposes in a design, foremost being giving elements of the design room to breathe. Negative space can also help highlight specific content or specific parts of a design.

Principles of graphic design.

Balance and Alignment

Balance and alignment

Never forget that every element you place on a page has a weight. The weight can come from color, size, or texture. Just like you wouldn’t put all your furniture in one corner of a room.

Proximity

Design elements near each other are perceived as related, while elements spaced apart are perceived as belonging to separate groups.

Repetition

If you limit yourself to two strong typefaces or three strong colors, you’ll soon find you’ll have to repeat some things. That’s ok! even sometimes that’s the best choice available.

Contrast

Contrast creates space and difference between elements in your design. Your background needs to be significantly different from the color of your elements so they work harmoniously together and are readable.
